Spiritual Direction

We believe that the Word of God is able to save the soul, renew the mind, and lead into all truth. Spiritual direction helps individuals, couples & families clarify and pay attention to what is happening between them and God, to grow in intimacy with God, self and others, and to make high-quality decisions as they respond to God’s communication in their lives. Spiritual direction is not intended to be a substitute for therapy; it is a demonstration of Christ’s understanding, love and guidance.

A Message from Liz

There is a saying that I have lived by and it is this, “God never wastes a hurt”. In my almost 60 years I have walked through some pretty difficult things. Much like we all have, I am sure. The grace of God has truly been what has brought me through. In all of this, God has continually shown me, that He can and will use every character flaw, hurt, tragedy and disappointment for my good and His glory, if I give them to Him. He also showed me that He can use these experiences and the knowledge gained from them to help others. The Lord once very clearly spoke to my heart these words, “I want my people healed and whole. I want my people free”. I do believe that it is the call on my life to help people strengthen their relationship with God as well as to help them achieve that wholeness and freedom He so desires for each of His children.

To my very deepest core I believe that Jesus desires a close relationship with each of us. In this closer walk, He is able to heal us and free us from many of the things in this life that trip us up. I have been seeking and working on my relationship with Christ for almost twenty years. In this time, He has been faithful to reveal many keys to me and has freed me from many forms of bondage along the way.

I believe also that this close relationship is an innate need in each of us. We desire it but do not always know how to obtain it. So, if you are sitting here today and this is speaking to you, I would be honored to speak with you about walking beside you on your spiritual journey. In doing so, I will be happy to share with you the many keys I believe the Lord has been so gracious to share with me along the way.

About Me

“It’s not how you start that’s important,
it’s how you finish”.

– Jim George

The above quote is reflective of the grace of God upon my life. I believe that there are many people who feel the same way. I surely needed help to finish well. For almost the first four decades of my life, I struggled to understand my worth, my identity and my true purpose in this life. This search left me making many poor decisions, grave mistakes, and longing for acceptance. I often found myself living as somewhat of a chameleon turning myself into whatever someone might need me to be at the particular moment. It was not until I grounded my life in the love of Jesus Christ that I grew to understand my true identity and many answers began to be revealed to me. Now, more than twenty years later, God has equipped me, through Lay Biblical Counsel studies and Life Coaching training, to work alongside Him, providing guidance to others who know they need to move forward in their lives but do not know how. If you have been stuck, or find yourself searching, I believe I can help and would be honored to walk alongside you on this journey to uncover all that God has ahead for you!
